On Sunday January 24th we hosted a special Corner Lounge performance with Jason Castro, Matt Hires and Caitlin Crosby for a lucky audience of Corner VIPs.

Sonos

LA Acapella group Sonos christened the new Corner Lounge on January 5th, 2010. This was the first group to perform in our new studio.

Sharon Jones and the DapKings

Sharon Jones stopped by the Corner Lounge on December 12th along with Dapkings BozMan and Binkie. They performed a sold out show at The Jefferson Theater that night.

A select number of lucky Corner listeners won the opportunity to meet Little Steven Van Zandt before the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band show at JPJ on May 5th. Little Steven hosts Little Steven's Underground Garage Monday nights on 106.1 The Corner.

Saturday the 18th was a busy day for 106.1 The Corner. We started out the morning by broadcasting from the finish line of the Charlottesville Marathon. We spent the afternoon hosting a booth at the Earth Week Eco Fair, and we finished the night off at JPJ for Dave Matthews Band.
